The project is located in the Coteau district near the RN 7 and the Villejuif - Paul Vaillant-Couturier metro station.
While the RN 7 is one of the main North-South traffic routes with a mineral and noisy character, the Coteaux district is, paradoxically, a predominantly pavilion-based, green and quiet district. It seemed obvious to us that we wanted to preserve this singularity and make the project a structuring element of its preservation. A house, a garden! This was the initial guideline that drove the project.
Like the single-family house, we have designed the project from the housing unity: its exterior extension, its light quality, its orientation. This approach results in a complex layout that combines typological diversity and urban continuity.
The collective spaces and common areas have been designed for a balanced and high-quality circulation. The 49 housing units meet the contemporary housing requirement: to offer to future inhabitants a high-quality living environment while respecting the values of sustainable development.
